Rohrbach Cattle Company is comprised of a union of the Rohrbach family with cousin Kurt Meyer and neighbor/friend Tim Talbert.  The Rohrbach family has raised cattle here at rural Onarga, in Northeastern IL, for going on 100 years, and has raised club calves for roughly 20 years.  We all work together towards a common goal of raising superior, high quality club calves and breeding stock while servicing those that do business with us.

Matt Rohrbach comes from a grain and livestock farming background and graduated from the University of Illinois in 2003.  Matt was on the Livestock Judging team at Lake Land College from 1999 to 2001 prior to transferring to UI.  He currently evaluates a few cattle shows throughout the Eastern U.S.  Matt lives on the home farm, managing the Blacks and Hereford parts of the operation, trading steers/heifers, and providing secondary services to clients such as clipping, fitting, and locating particular types/kinds of cattle.

Tim Talbert (Talbert Farms) became interested in show cattle while working part time during High School for Doug Rohrbach in the early 90's.  He showed calves raised by the Rohrbach family while in High School and went on to graduate from to University of Illinois.  He and his wife, Anna, purchased the farm down the road from RCC and they run their cows at that location.  He has continued to grow his segment of the operation through the purchase of Shorthorn breeding stock, and with careful selection has formed an excellent cow herd.  Last year Tim raised the Reserve Land of Lincoln Shorthorn Steer (both days) at the IL State Fair.  Look for big things to come from Tim's operation as he continues to grow and evolve.
